ID Card Detection System

The system uses a custom-labeled dataset prepared with Roboflow and trains a YOLOv8m object detection model using Python, PyTorch and the Ultralytics framework. It is designed to support identity verification, institutional identification, attendance monitoring and security applications. The trained model achieved 0.995 precision, 0.923 recall and 0.925 mAP@50, with an inference time of approximately 40.9 ms per image.
